Like you, I am sceptical. I always look at the pictures closely, as you can see from the pictures that you have used apart from your own hair, probably from their website. The pictures that they show with the hair loss are always pulled back tighter than the ones with the supposed improvement are looser. They also usually have products like the Colour Wow powders on their hair to make them appear thicker.

Achieving clinically accurate pictures is such a challenge, that’s why you have to observe the stats and trial data. Pictures aren’t a ruse but it is much more of a challenge to create the perfect environment, lighting etc for them to be objectively helpful.

I agree they’re difficult to find and something to consider before buying products. Like you, I’ve spent hundreds if not thousands on ineffective items. This is why I trust your recommendations especially for my daughter who has psoriasis and significant hair loss.

It really is about expert intervention, if possible, and then using proven products. The challenge is that even with proof, some of us just won’t get on with something maybe because of texture, how it’s used etc so there is an element of trial and error.

We’re incredibly fortunate to be able to afford the expert care we’re both receiving from a dermatologist in Brisbane.
